I think after yesterday's lesson, most of you understand that the pictures in the movie had to do with integers. We had an excellent discussion about this and learned how to represent integers with tiles and disks. Now go to my blog entry titled Comparing Integers and follow the instructions.

I think i may have a clue what itegers are in the movie there was a picture of a golf ball money and 2 pictures of tempereature. They are all related to integers. If YOUR ON PAR 3 and YOU GET A WHOLE IN 1 YOU'LL GET 1 POINT. cold is negative and hot is positive so the temperature in antartica is negative and the temperature in the dessert is positive. If you want to buy say a car saving is positive and debt is negative. The lesson we had today really helped!!!!

From today's lesson on integers I finally understand what they are! Before I was completely clueless! I had tried everything! I looked it up on google and I tried asking people but they didn't know either. Today I realized that integers are made by positive and negative math charges. They relate to temperatures, as in -6 or +35, they relate to money too. Here is an example. Johnny needs $250 to buy a new x-box. He has no money. He borrows $50 from his mom and pays off the rest. Since Johnny borrows $50 from his mom, that is -$50 since he owes her that money. Now he has reached his money goal, he has $250. He has to pay his mom $50 because he borrowed $50 from her. He has $200 now and he still has to gain +$50 to buy his x-box. It relates to golfing too. If Kaysha was golfing on a Par 3 and she got a whole in one she would get 1 point because 3 - 2= 1. If she got 3 points on a Par 3, she would get 3 points.
I am glad that I finally understand integers!

Well, integers are all about positive and negative numbers. For example in golf there is sometimes a par of negative three (-3) and you try not to go into the positives (pluses or +). Integers are like the weather because 23 degrees in the positives or 23 in the negatives. Credit cards are examples of integers too because you can owe the bank because you go into the negatives because you spend too much money. Sometimes you have a lone and have to pay it back because it means you are in the negatives and owe them money. There are lots of examples of integers. Integers are fun to do!

I think it means
I think integers are is a unit dealing with any number that is positive or negative. Kind of like golf and going over or under par. Also like the weather and it being +30 or -30.
